Privacy policy
Short version: we don't collect your data because it never leaves your browser.
What data we process
QR3D is a tool that runs entirely in your browser. The links, WiFi passwords, text, logos and 3D models you generate are never sent to any server: they're processed on your device and downloaded directly from it. We have no way of ever seeing them.
You don't need to sign up or provide any personal data to use the tool.
Local storage
We use the browser's session storage to remember a few minimal things during your visit, like whether you've already dismissed a notice. That information is deleted when you close the tab and is never shared.
Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager, a tag manager from Google that loads in the background and lets us add or remove measurement tools without changing the site's code. Inside it we have Google Analytics 4 enabled, which records visits in aggregate (page views, traffic source) to see what content works.
Analytics only turns on if you accept measurement cookies in the banner: until then, Google Tag Manager sends its signals in a denied state and no cookie or persistent identifier is stored in your browser. If you accept, the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies are set, lasting up to 2 years; the data is sent to Google's servers, which may be located outside the European Union (Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for these transfers).
The purpose is to understand how many visits the site gets and from which pages, to prioritize improvements. The legal basis is your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time from the site's cookie banner (see the cookie policy).
Advertising
TODO: when advertising is enabled, this section will state the provider (for example Google AdSense) and the use of advertising cookies. Consent for those cookies will be requested through the same cookie banner already in place.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to the contact address in the legal notice. Since we don't store personal data, in most cases the answer will be that no data associated with you exists.
