The only object made to leave with the customer
Every other QR3D format stays at your business: on the table, on the wall, on the door. The fridge magnet is built the other way around — for the customer to take it home, where your QR code ends up somewhere they look several times a day.
That's why the default size is much smaller than the other pieces, 38 mm versus the 80-90 mm of a plaque or a stand: the smaller it is, the cheaper it is to produce in bulk, and the less it takes over the customer's own fridge.
Turning it into an actual magnet
The model prints the plaque with the QR code in relief, but it doesn't include the magnet itself. Self-adhesive neodymium discs, 15-20 mm, the same ones used for crafts, glue straight onto the flat back with cyanoacrylate or a two-part epoxy; they're sold in packs of dozens for very little money.
- One magnet, centered: enough for sizes up to 40 mm.
- Two magnets, on the sides: for bigger pieces or longer text, stops it peeling off from one corner.
Common questions
Does it come with the magnet?
No. The model only prints the plaque with the embossed QR code; the magnet, a self-adhesive neodymium disc, is bought separately and glued to the back.
Why is it so much smaller than the plaque or the stand?
Because it's built to produce a lot of cheap units that the customer takes home, not to be read from a distance like a wall sign.
What's the module size at 38 mm?
It depends on the link: the shorter it is, the bigger the modules. The tool warns you live if a module drops below 1.5 mm; if it does, make the piece bigger or shorten the link.
Can it print in two colors like the rest?
Yes, it exports the same independent pieces — base, code and optional text — each with its own color, just like every other format.
What content makes the most sense on a magnet?
Whatever you want people to remember later: your website, your WiFi for when visitors come back, your Instagram profile, or a direct contact link.
