Try scanning it

Point your phone's camera at it. If it doesn't read, check the contrast and margin warnings.

Generate several pieces at once

Type {n} in the link, the embossed text, the table number, the WiFi network name, or the contact, email, SMS and WhatsApp fields: it will be replaced by each number in the range when the ZIP is generated.

Up to 200 pieces per batch. If you don't use {n} in any field, every piece will be identical.

How it's different from the wall plaque

The wall plaque is screwed or glued in place permanently; the door hanger is built for the opposite, for moving around. One big hole, for the door handle, replaces the two screws, and a proportion taller than it is wide makes it look like a hotel's 'Do Not Disturb' sign.

It's the natural format for content that changes from one room to the next, or from one guest to the next: house rules, WiFi, a check-out time.

Ways to use it

  • Rentals and Airbnb: house rules, WiFi, house guide, check-out time.
  • Hotels: room service, hotel information, do-not-disturb / please-clean with two hangers, one per side.
  • Offices and clinics: opening hours or a link to book an appointment.

Hole size

The hole is generated at 13 mm across, enough for most round door knobs and many lever handles without rubbing. If your door has a very thick handle, scale up the whole piece so the margin around the hole grows proportionally.

A darker base color hides handling marks better than a light one, if it's going to be touched a lot.

Common questions

Does it fit any door knob or handle?

The hole is 13 mm, sized for standard round knobs. With very thick lever handles, try a larger piece overall first.

Can each side show different content?

Not in this model: the QR code and text are on one face. For a two-sided hanger (say 'Do Not Disturb' / 'Please Clean') print two separate pieces.

What's the usual size?

85 mm wide covers most uses. For longer text or a bigger QR code, go up to 120 mm.

Can I make one per room?

Yes, with batch generation: if the link or the text contains {n}, each hanger comes out with a different number or code inside a single ZIP.

Which material holds up best to daily handling?

PETG. It gets hung and unhung from the knob many times a day in a hotel, and holds up to wear better than PLA.
